Saudi Arabia’s Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud, known as the “Sleeping Prince,” has died after spending nearly 20 years in a coma.

He passed away on Tuesday, two decades after suffering a severe brain injury in a car crash in London while studying at a military college.

Prince Khaled once said, “If God wanted him to die in the accident, he would have. We are sure God who kept his soul for all these years is capable of bringing him back.”

His long-term condition had drawn attention across the Arab world, with many sending prayers and messages of support.

Prince Al-Waleed’s funeral was held in Riyadh, with mourners including members of the royal family and government officials.
