The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-South has appointed caretaker committees for its Bayelsa and Edo State chapters.
This was announced in a statement on Sunday by the PDP National Vice Chairman (South-South), Chief Dan Orbih, who said the move followed the expiration of the tenures of the former state executives.
“The caretaker committees are expected to pilot the affairs of the party pending the conduct of congresses,” Orbih said.
Mr. Ndutimi Komonibo was named chairman of the Bayelsa caretaker committee, while Mr. Pascal Ugbome will head the Edo team.
Orbih urged party members to support the committees to ensure stability and continuity. The appointments are effective immediately and will last for 90 days.
