Joe Biden’s cancer will likely not be cured, a top doc has said, who revealed how long he has left before key therapies could stop working.
President Joe Biden’s recent cancer diagnosis may not be curable, a top doctor has revealed, warning that key treatments could eventually stop working. Dr. Gareth Nye told the Daily Star that Biden’s condition should serve as a global “wake-up call” for men, given prostate cancer’s prevalence and risks.
“Joe Biden’s public announcement should be a huge wake-up call,” said Dr. Nye, noting that 1 in 8 UK men will face prostate cancer. While 80% survive a decade post-diagnosis, 12,000 British men still die annually from the disease. Biden himself acknowledged the widespread impact, stating: “Cancer touches us all.”
The revelation intensifies scrutiny over the 80-year-old president’s health, long a target for critics. Dr. Nye stressed that Biden’s access to elite healthcare makes his diagnosis especially alarming for average men. “It’s not surprising at his age,” he said, urging early screenings to combat the leading male cancer threat.
