“Starting on your billing date in September, your subscription price will change from 10,99 €/month to 11,99 €/month.”
Spotify has announced it will increase the monthly price of its Premium individual subscription in select markets, including Nigeria, from September 2025. The price will rise from 10.99 euros to 11.99 euros per month across regions such as South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific.
In a blog post on Monday, Spotify stated that subscribers would receive an email within the next month notifying them about the price change. The email will include: “Thank you for being a valued Premium subscriber. Starting on your billing date in September, your subscription price will change from 10,99 €/month to 11,99 €/month.”
The company justified the price hike as necessary to “continue to innovate on our product offerings and features and bring users the best experience.” It highlighted that these changes help the platform improve services and introduce new features for its users.
Spotify reassured users that the update would only affect certain markets and encouraged subscribers to check their emails for more information about the price change.
