Israeli authorities on Wednesday arrested a Palestinian man accused of bombing buses in the Tel Aviv suburbs of Bat Yam and Holon on February 20, 2025.
The suspect, identified as Abed al-Karim Snober, was apprehended following a joint investigation by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet.
“The arrest marks a significant operational and intelligence achievement,” the IDF said in a statement. They noted that Snober had planted bombs in three empty buses, which exploded in quick succession. No injuries were reported, but more explosive devices were later found on other buses.
Officials said Snober was located after a blast in Nablus on Tuesday, likely triggered by explosives in his possession. He was injured and fled but was quickly captured.
“The IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police will continue to operate… to ensure the safety of the residents,” the IDF added.
The investigation remains ongoing.
