Strong winds may precede the rains in areas where thunderstorms are likely to occur.
Thunderstorms with rains are anticipated over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, Benue and Plateau States,” the agency said.
Southern states, including Lagos, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom, are forecast to see cloudy conditions with rain showers both in the morning and later in the day.
The agency advised the public to fasten loose objects, avoid driving in heavy rain, and disconnect appliances during storms.
