An 18-year-old Dubliner, previously convicted of violent disorder during the fatal assault on Tristan Sherry, has pleaded guilty to drugs and firearms offences.

The youth, who cannot be named as he was a minor at the time, admitted to possessing diamorphine for sale or supply at Tolka Valley Park, Dublin 15, on May 8, 2024.

He had earlier pleaded guilty to possessing a shotgun, cannabis, and 630g of Phenacetin the day before.

Fiona Murphy SC told the Special Criminal Court that one of the 15 charges will be dropped, but the others should be considered during sentencing. Justice Karen O’Connor adjourned the case to June 18 for sentencing and ordered a probation report.

In a separate case, the teen was found guilty of taking part in the Christmas Eve 2023 attack on Sherry at Browne’s Steakhouse, where he briefly joined others in beating the gunman to death. He is awaiting sentencing for that offence.
