A three-storey building collapsed on Wednesday morning on Lagos Island, injuring several occupants and triggering a swift emergency response.
The incident occurred on Asesi Lane, near Adeniji Adele Road. The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.
Confirming the incident, Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, stated, “Four persons have been rescued from the rubble. They have been taken to hospital.”
Emergency responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other agencies arrived at the scene shortly after the collapse.
