President Tinubu on Wednesday reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, declaring that “naysayers” will not distract him. He spoke at the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16 in Abuja, calling infrastructure the “bedrock of national growth.”
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday said his administration will not be distracted by political “naysayers,” reaffirming his commitment to Nigeria’s development through infrastructure.
Speaking while commissioning the Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) from Ring Road One to Wole Soyinka Road in Abuja, Tinubu described the project as “a tangible proof” of his reform agenda.
“We will continue to build, we will continue to serve the people, no matter how much the naysayers pursue their politics,” Tinubu declared.
The President said infrastructure like roads, rail, healthcare, and education is key to unlocking Nigeria’s full potential. “Infrastructure is not a luxury; it is a necessity,” he added.
He praised the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for delivering on urban transformation and lauded local communities for cooperating with the government.
“The road belongs to the community and citizens of Abuja… use it wisely,” he said.
Tinubu said the newly commissioned road will ease congestion, link developing districts, and spur economic growth.
