Ilefa says a five-million-man rally will showcase Southern Nigeria’s support and encourage President Tinubu to seek a second term in 2027.
A public affairs analyst, Peter Ikpen Ilefa, has announced plans to mobilise five million Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 presidential poll. Ilefa disclosed this during a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
He said the planned rally forms part of a nationwide mobilisation drive to reinforce Southern Nigeria’s support for the President and encourage him to seek a second term. Ilefa added that he would engage stakeholders across all geopolitical zones to consolidate backing for the re-election effort.
According to him, the President’s performance in infrastructure, economic reforms and security has boosted public confidence. He listed the removal of fuel subsidy, higher state allocations, financial autonomy for local governments, expanded student loans, a higher minimum wage and improved macroeconomic indicators as key milestones.
“We’ll mobilise 5 million man march/endorsement rally for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR… and to urge Mr President to consider a second term in office,” he said.
