The move, reportedly brokered by Tinubu, threatens the ambitions of a Senate leader eyeing Kano’s 2027 governorship ticket under APC. Kwankwaso is expected to meet Tinubu upon the president’s return from Europe, while three NNPP federal lawmakers have already held talks with Ganduje ahead of their formal defection.
