Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of failing in all areas, including security, infrastructure, economy, and governance.
In a live interview on “KABENKO” with Oluwaseyi Akinsola on Crown FM 101.5, Ile Ife, Sowore said, “The Nigerian government prefers to operate in darkness while we fight in the light.” He decried the suppression of protests and civic engagement, adding, “Instead of addressing questions, they deploy police or soldiers… or send thugs to attack people.”
Sowore lamented worsening conditions, stating, “People are suffering more now than ever.” On youth participation, he criticised the “Not Too Young to Run” law as ineffective, saying it lacks true support. He also condemned the student loan scheme as exploitative.
Reflecting on his activism, he said, “We’ve been fighting for good governance for over three decades.” He urged citizens to reclaim the country from leaders who “lead without a single constructive thought.”
