Tobi Amusan sets new record in Rabat Diamond League 100m hurdles win

Tobi Amusan won the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2025 Rabat Diamond League meet, setting a new meeting record with a season-best 12.24 seconds.

The time eclipsed the previous record of 12.51 seconds held by McNeal Brianna. This marks Amusan’s first major win of the 2025 season after placing fourth in Xiamen and Shanghai earlier in May.

Her recent victory follows a disappointing 2024 season where she failed to reach the 100m hurdles final at the Paris Olympics. Now training with Glen Mills at Racers Track Club, Amusan credited her improved performance to a renewed focus on hurdle drills.

“More hurdles practice, because I have been doing more sprinting. It was after the first two Diamond League meetings, I knew I had to go back to doing more hurdle drills,” she said. “Two weeks in, I can tell the difference.”

Amusan previously won the Diamond League 100m hurdles title from 2021 to 2023.
