Tottenham and Manchester United will face off in an all-English Europa League final in Bilbao later this month, with the winner securing a Champions League spot.
Tottenham advanced after a 2-0 victory over Bodo/Glimt, completing a 5-1 aggregate win. Despite warnings about Bodo’s challenging artificial pitch, Spurs struggled early but broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute through Dominic Solanke, followed by Pedro Porro’s second goal. Bodo’s stoppage-time penalty was ruled out after a VAR check.
Manchester United secured a dominant 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, with a 7-1 aggregate score. Mason Mount, Casemiro, and Rasmus Hojlund scored, with Mount adding a stunning long-range goal.
The final will take place on Wednesday, May 21. Both teams currently sit in the Premier League’s bottom half, with three games remaining.
