President Donald Trump has reportedly approved military plans for a U.S. strike on Iran, though he has not authorized the operation to proceed. According to Bloomberg, senior White House officials are preparing for possible action “in the coming days.” Trump reviewed potential strategies during a Wednesday night meeting with top generals in the White House Situation Room.
Among the proposed plans is the use of B-2 stealth bombers to deploy 30,000-pound bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s fortified nuclear facilities.
The discussion follows heightened tensions in the region after Iran launched missile attacks on several Israeli locations. One missile struck Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, causing severe damage.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned, “Iran will pay a heavy price.”
Trump has not ruled out the strike, stating: “I may do it, I may not do it,” and hopes the planning pressure may push Iran to negotiate over its nuclear program.
