Trump called the Epstein scandal a “hoax” and slammed former supporters for “doing the Democrats’ work.”
Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday denounced renewed focus on the Jeffrey Epstein case, labeling it the Democrats’ “new SCAM” and accusing his former supporters of falling for what he called another hoax.
“My PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump said in a fiery Truth Social post. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats’ work… I don’t want their support anymore!”
Trump compared the Epstein controversy to the Steele Dossier, the Hunter Biden laptop, and the “Russia, Russia, Russia” investigation, calling them all Democratic smears.
“These Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at,” he wrote. “They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates.”
On Tuesday, Trump also told reporters, “I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody,” calling it a fixation of the “fake news” and “pretty bad people.”
