“Nobody’s asked. But I know people are thinking about it,” Trump said at a press conference. “I would certainly look at the facts.”
President Donald Trump said Friday he is open to considering a pardon for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing sex trafficking and racketeering charges in New York.
“Nobody’s asked. But I know people are thinking about it,” Trump said at a press conference. “I would certainly look at the facts.”
Combs was arrested in September 2024 and could face life in prison if convicted. His legal troubles escalated after a 2023 lawsuit by ex-partner Cassie Ventura, followed by additional claims and the release of CCTV footage showing him physically assaulting Ventura in 2016. Combs admitted to the violence, calling his actions “inexcusable,” but denies the trafficking and sexual assault charges.
Trump acknowledged their past relationship, saying, “He used to really like me a lot,” though they haven’t spoken in years.
If granted, a pardon could spark major controversy, especially as Trump has already pardoned multiple celebrities during his presidency.
