“I may move the Tesla around a little bit, but I don’t think we’ll be doing that with Starlink. It’s a good service,” Trump told reporters.
President Donald Trump said Monday he has no intention of discontinuing Starlink internet service at the White House, even after publicly declaring an end to his alliance with billionaire Elon Musk.
“I may move the Tesla around a little bit, but I don’t think we’ll be doing that with Starlink. It’s a good service,” Trump told reporters,
referring to Musk’s SpaceX subsidiary.
The rift follows Trump’s purchase of a red Tesla Model S in March and Musk’s recent criticism of Trump’s tax and spending bill, which he labeled a “disgusting abomination.” Their fallout has complicated GOP efforts to pass the bill in a tightly divided Congress.
Despite the public feud, Trump struck a conciliatory tone Monday, saying, “We had a good relationship, and I just wish him well.” Musk later responded with a heart emoji to a video of Trump’s remarks.
Although Musk deleted some anti-Trump posts, insiders suggest he may be open to mending ties with the president.
