Trump says the Gaza crisis can end if Hamas surrenders and releases hostages, as ceasefire talks stall.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said the humanitarian crisis in Gaza would swiftly end if Hamas surrendered and agreed to a ceasefire with Israel.

“The fastest way to end the Humanitarian Crises in Gaza is for Hamas to SURRENDER AND RELEASE THE HOSTAGES!!!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, is visiting Israel to push stalled ceasefire talks and is expected to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Negotiations between Israel and Hamas remain deadlocked. A recent U.S.-brokered proposal for a 60-day truce and prisoner exchange stalled after both sides blamed each other for delays.

Meanwhile, harrowing images of starvation in Gaza have intensified international calls for aid. Israel has paused military operations for 10 hours daily in some areas to allow humanitarian access.

The United Nations says the aid received is “still far from enough.”
