US President Donald Trump has reportedly cut off communication with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, amid claims the Israeli leader attempted to manipulate him, according to Israeli media. Yanir Cozin of Army Radio said on X that Trump’s decision was influenced by his inner circle, who warned him against being “played.”
Israel Hayom also reported a rift between the two leaders, citing Trump’s “disappointment” and plans to advance Middle East policies—particularly with Saudi Arabia—without Netanyahu’s input.
Cozin linked Trump’s anger to an April meeting where Israeli Minister Ron Dermer allegedly told US Republicans what Trump “ought to do.” Trump was reportedly infuriated.
