Trump warned Hamas of possible U.S. military action if internal killings continue in Gaza following the ceasefire.
President Donald Trump on Thursday warned Hamas that “we will have no choice but to go in and kill them” if internal bloodshed continues in Gaza.
The warning came days after Trump had downplayed the violence since a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas took effect last week. On Tuesday, he said Hamas had taken out “a couple of gangs that were very bad,” adding, “That didn’t bother me much, to be honest with you.”
Trump did not explain how he would act on the threat posted on his Truth Social account. The White House has not commented.
He, however, made clear that his patience with the killings was running out. “They will disarm, and if they don’t do so, we will disarm them, and it’ll happen quickly and perhaps violently,” Trump said.
The warning comes as Gaza remains tense, with rival factions and armed gangs filling the vacuum left by Hamas’ weakened control.
