President Trump accused Nigeria of failing to stop the “genocide” of Christians, declaring “Nigeria is a disgrace” and warning that the US may cut aid.

President Donald Trump sharply criticized the Nigerian government, describing the killing of Christians as a “genocide” and declaring that “Nigeria is a disgrace,” while warning that the United States could halt aid or take additional measures if the violence persists.

In a radio interview highlighted by Fox News, Trump said “they’re killing people by the thousands” and insisted he was “really angry about it.” His comments aligned with recent statements from US officials, including the War Department, which said it is working with Nigeria to end attacks by “jihadist terrorists.”

A high-level meeting in Washington between Congressman Riley M. Moore and Nigerian security leaders underscored what was described as a “frank, honest, and productive discussion” about Christian persecution and terrorism, with US officials stressing that “President Trump does not make idle threats.”
