Photos of President Trump’s bruised hand have reignited health concerns despite White House assurances that the condition is benign.
Fresh concerns have emerged about President Donald Trump’s health after new photos showed extensive bruising on his right hand during a meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Monday.
The images, widely circulated on social media, drew sharp reactions. The group Republicans Against Trump posted on X, “Yikes.
The American people deserve answers about what’s going on with Trump’s hand.” The post has been viewed over 1.1 million times.
In July, the White House released a memo from Trump’s physician, Sean Barbabella, stating the president had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), describing it as “benign and common.” The report attributed the bruising to “minor soft tissue irritation from frequent shaking and the use of aspirin.”
Trump, 79, the oldest U.S. president at inauguration, has long faced scrutiny over his health.
A May poll showed 45 percent of respondents believed he was “not at all” or “not very” transparent about it.
