Newly elected PDP National Chairman Kabiru Tanimu Turaki and other party leaders have visited the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja to lodge a complaint against expelled members, amid escalating factional disputes within the party.

The newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, alongside several party leaders, visited the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja to officially lodge a complaint against expelled Senator Samuel Anyanwu, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and others.

This follows the attempt by the Wike-backed Muhammed Abdulrahman-led faction to convene an emergency NEC and BoT meeting on Tuesday, announced by the expelled National Secretary, Anyanwu. The move intensifies the PDP’s internal crisis, coming shortly after the Ibadan National Convention where Anyanwu, Wike, Ayo Fayose, and others were expelled over alleged anti-party activities.

The party remains divided as parallel factions scramble for control ahead of the scheduled meetings.
