One man and one woman were shot and killed outside of an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in the Northwest neighborhood of Washington, D.C., on Wednesday evening, law enforcement sources told ABC News.
United States Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said that both victims were staff members at the Israeli Embassy in a post on X.
“Two Israeli Embassy staff were senselessly killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in Washington DC,” she wrote. “We are actively investigating and working to get more information to share. Please pray for the families of the victims. We will bring this depraved perpetrator to justice.”
