The squad features a mix of local and international players, including first-choice goalkeeper Ifeanyi Harcourt, team captain Daniel Bameyi, midfielder Sulaiman Alabi, and forward Kparobo Arierhi.

Notable foreign-based players include Emmanuel Chukwu and Precious Benjamin from German club TSG Hoffenheim, and Arierhi from Lillestrøm SK in Norway. The Flying Eagles, who have won the tournament seven times, are preparing for their eighth continental title and a potential spot in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile later this year.

The team will face Tunisia, Morocco, and Kenya in the group stage, with the top four teams securing qualification for the World Cup.
