The UAE condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s call for Palestinian displacement, backing Egypt and warning it violated international law while urging a two-state solution.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks suggesting Palestinians could be displaced from Gaza, calling them “a dangerous continuation of occupation policies.”

In a Foreign Ministry statement, the UAE expressed “full support” for Egypt’s efforts to resist displacement, press for a ceasefire, and ease civilian suffering. The ministry warned that Netanyahu’s comments constituted “a flagrant violation of international law and UN resolutions” and stressed its “categorical rejection of all attempts at displacement or undermining the Palestinian cause.”

The UAE said protecting Palestinian rights was “a moral, humanitarian, and legal obligation,” reiterating its backing for a two-state solution. Egypt also condemned Netanyahu’s remarks as attempts to fuel instability.

The war in Gaza entered its 700th day Friday, with at least 64,300 Palestinians killed, according to Gaza authorities. Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant face ICC arrest warrants for alleged war crimes.
