The United States has warned Nigerian students studying in America that violating visa rules—such as skipping classes or leaving school without notice—could lead to visa revocation and future ineligibility.
The United States has issued a fresh advisory to Nigerian students, warning that non-compliance with visa regulations could result in visa revocation and ineligibility for future U.S. visas.
The notice, posted by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria on Monday, urged students not to drop out, skip classes, or abandon their programmes without notifying their schools.
“If you drop out, skip classes, or leave your program of study without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked,” the statement read. This follows a broader crackdown on immigration fraud and illegal migration, with U.S. authorities warning of lifetime bans and prosecution.
