A viral video shows a woman caught impersonating Taraba Finance Commissioner Sarah Enoch Adi during an ICAN exam, sparking renewed calls for her removal.
A leaked video obtained by SaharaReporters shows a woman allegedly hired to write the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) exam for Taraba State Finance Commissioner Sarah Enoch Adi. In the footage, exam supervisors question the suspect, who identified herself as Leavitt Felix, while records linked the registration to Adi. “Mention it louder; you’re writing for Sarah Adi, right?” a supervisor asked, and Felix confirmed “Sarah Enoch Adi” before admitting she had been contracted by someone named Joshua. Supervisors warned they would involve the police if she failed to provide further details.
The revelation comes weeks after civil servants demanded Adi’s dismissal over alleged irregularities in a biometric verification exercise that removed over 7,000 names from the payroll. Appointed in August 2023, Adi holds multiple academic degrees, including a 2023 doctorate in accounting. The Taraba government has yet to comment on the impersonation claims, while exam officials say the matter may be referred to law enforcement.
