“The PDP is not ready for the 2027 election. It is very obvious… You don’t need to deceive anybody that you are reading… That is the situation of the PDP,” he said.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not prepared to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Wike made the statement during a live media parley in Abuja on Friday.
“The PDP is not ready for the 2027 election. It is very obvious… You don’t need to deceive anybody that you are reading… That is the situation of the PDP,” he said.
He attributed the party’s weakness to internal power struggles and lack of unity.
Despite efforts by opposition figures to form a united coalition, Wike noted that conflicting interests continue to derail progress.
