Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has pledged to resign if the forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) fails to indict former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi and his wife. Speaking Friday on Politics Today aired by Channels Television, Wike accused Amaechi’s wife of receiving N4 billion monthly from the NDDC to train Niger Delta women.
“Amaechi’s wife company, every month, got N4 billion to train Niger Delta women. That is N48 billion in one year alone,” Wike claimed. He urged President Bola Tinubu to release the audit report, alleging that former Attorney General Abubakar Malami suppressed it to protect those involved.
“If what I am saying is not in the document, I will resign as the Minister of the FCT. I said I will resign. I don’t worship office,” Wike declared. He also questioned Amaechi’s academic credentials and accused him of accepting a Rolls-Royce from a contractor.
