We cannot watch our communities wasted like this—we must rise and secure our territories
Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has condemned the recent massacre in Yelewata, Guma LGA of Benue State, where over 200 lives were lost. Visiting the survivors and donating relief materials, Dr. Enenche described the killings as a “genocidal pogrom,” urging Nigerians to “take their destinies in their own hands.”
“We cannot watch our communities wasted like this. It is not a battle for comfort, but a battle for survival,” he said.
He criticized political leaders for lacking compassion, stating, “We need leadership that will put political considerations aside and not negotiate away the lives of people.”
Calling for national repentance, he added, “Let God forgive us and give us leadership that feels for people.”
Dr. Enenche also urged lawmakers to enact stronger protections, warning, “Let nobody think they will be where they are forever.”
To grieving families, he said, “Only God knows your pain. The God who understands will comfort you.”
