Zamfara Police rescued 25 abducted women and children after bandits attacked Kuraje village, with DSP Yazid Abubakar confirming that security teams “pursued the fleeing bandits, and engaged them in a coordinated and strategic operation.”
The Zamfara State Police Command has foiled a bandit attack on Kuraje village in Damba, Gusau LGA, rescuing all 25 abducted victims 10 women and 15 children.
According to PPRO DSP Yazid Abubakar, the armed bandits attacked the community on Friday night, and “pursued the fleeing bandits, and engaged them in a coordinated and strategic operation” after receiving the distress call.
He said the joint patrol teams, working with Community Protection Guards, acted swiftly and professionally, ensuring all victims were freed unharmed and reunited with their families. Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba commended the officers and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to securing lives and property across Zamfara State.
