The African Democratic Congress has inaugurated its new national secretariat in Abuja—a building formerly used by Atiku Abubakar for his presidential campaign
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) inaugurated its new national headquarters in Abuja, a building notable for having previously housed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign team, though both Atiku and Peter Obi were absent from the unveiling. ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, quickly dismissed speculation, clarifying that Atiku’s “tenancy has lapsed” and that the move “is not an indication of anything,” asserting the party’s focus remains on maintaining “fairness and internal cohesion” ahead of its upcoming congresses.
Meanwhile, ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark, described the office as a “physical testament to our collective resolve to build a greater nation,” which will serve as the operational nerve centre for the coalition as they continue efforts to bring affiliates, including Obi and former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, into full membership.
