The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari have arrived in Katsina State from London, United Kingdom, ahead of his state burial in Daura.
The late president’s body was flown in on a Nigerian Air Force aircraft on Tuesday afternoon.
Vice President Kashim Shettima led the high-level Federal Government delegation that accompanied Buhari’s remains from London for repatriation.
Earlier, President Bola Tinubu arrived in Katsina to receive the body ahead of the final interment in the former president’s hometown of Daura.
Buhari, who died on Sunday in London at the age of 82, will be buried according to Islamic rites in his Daura residence.
