“If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the sh*t out of Moscow,” Trump told donors in 2024 fundraiser audio.
Donald Trump told a group of donors at a 2024 fundraiser that he warned Russian President Vladimir Putin he would “bomb the sht out of Moscow” if Russia invaded Ukraine, according to audio obtained by CNN. “With Putin I said, ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the sht out of Moscow,’” Trump said. “And then [Putin] goes, like, ‘I don’t believe you.’ But he believed me 10%.”
He also claimed to have made a similar threat to Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding Taiwan, saying, “He thought I was crazy… but we never had a problem.”
In other tapes, Trump pledged to deport student protesters, stating, “Any student that protests, I would throw them out of the country.” He also pressured donors to give millions, saying one donor upped his gift from $1 million to $25 million.
The remarks, made behind closed doors, were part of a series of fundraiser recordings detailed in the book 2024 by Dawsey, Pager, and Arnsdorf.
